Types of home care we provide in Camden
When you’re looking for the right type of home care for yourself or a loved one, we know how difficult it can be to try and decipher between the different options available. The Good Care Group is proud to offer both live-in care and hourly care to our clients in the Camden area. Find out more about these two types of home care below.
Hourly care in Camden
Hourly home care is there to help anyone that requires a bit of additional care and support to continue living life on their terms. One of our professional carers in Camden will visit you in your home for as little or as often as is needed to provide support with the everyday tasks of living. This can include everything from discreet and sensitive assistance with personal care routines to help with household duties or even looking after pets.
Hourly home care is flexible and can be completely tailored to suit your lifestyle. Our carers can pop in for as little as 60-minutes per visit for a minimum of three visits per week, allowing you to choose how little or how much assistance you want and need. If your care needs change over time, we can quickly adjust our care plans to meet your requirements with little disruption to your lifestyle.
Hourly care from The Good Care Group is focused on helping you lead the life you choose with as much dignity and independence as possible. Whether it’s sharing a cup of tea together or accompanying you on outings in and around Camden, we provide care designed to enhance your quality of life and well-being.
Live-in care in Camden
For those with long-term care needs, live-in care provides a viable alternative to care homes. Leaving your home and its treasured possessions is distressing at any age. With live-in care, you can receive the one-to-one care you need while avoiding the upheaval of moving into a care home.
Live-in care is all about individualised support. You will be matched with a fully-trained carer in Camden that will move into your home and get to know you as a person including your wants, needs and preferences. Your carer can provide assistance with a number of daily activities from discreet personal care or medication management to friendship and companionship – whatever you need to keep living life on your terms.
If you are living with a complex or life-limiting condition, live-in care can help you receive the dedicated support you need to manage your symptoms and improve your quality of life. We have unrivalled expertise in the care of complex conditions like dementia, Parkinson’s, stroke rehabilitation or cancer care.
The complex and nurse-led care we offer is flexible and responsive. By drawing on expertise from leading health and social care professionals, as well as our own in-house clinical experts, we provide specialist care that improves health outcomes and overall wellbeing.

Jessica Monaghan
Hourly Regional Manager,
I’m Jessica, Hourly Care Manager for The Good Care Group. I first joined the company in 2019 as a Live-in Care Manager, which I did for two years before leaving to start up an hourly care service for a franchise provider in North London. I rejoined The Good Care Group in 2022 as the Hourly Care Manager.
As Hourly Care Manager, my role involves working alongside our client services team, assessing new clients, creating robust care plans and risk assessments of their needs and working alongside the scheduling team to find a suitable match of carer for each client to ensure that their care is set up to achieve the best outcomes. I may also need to work alongside our Occupational Therapist or Consultant Admiral Nurse when setting up more complex care placements. My role varies day to day, and a lot of what I do involves supporting my team of carers and my clients with whatever the day brings.
My career in health and social care started in 2010. Since then, I have worked in various roles including as a carer, care scheduler, care supervisor, care manager and registered care manager.
As part of my role, I need to complete regular calls to check in and stay up to date with my care team and clients. Every three months, my care team is called for supervision and clients have visits and monitoring calls to ensure that they are happy with the care being provided to them. Clients also have six-monthly or monthly reviews of their care. If there are incidents or accidents, I provide support to them to ensure the safety of everyone involved, ensuring to review risk assessments and care plans to prevent future occurrences. I also work with the training team and support carers with their career development. My role is to ensure that the care team feels supported and clients are happy with the care and support that they are receiving.
I hold a Level 5 in Health and Social Care and have supported individuals with a wide range of needs including dementia, palliative care, Parkinson’s, cancer, motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, learning disabilities, autism, mental health and neurological conditions.
Alongside my Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, I also hold a Level 3 in Education and Training, BILD Assessors qualification and an Open University qualification in Autism Awareness. I am a first aid instructor, moving and handling instructor and medication trainer. I believe that training is a vital part of the care role and continual development ensures the individuals that we support get the quality care they need.
I have witnessed both obstacles and successes within the sector and seen first-hand what difference can be made whether big or small in someone's life. I believe that the journey I have taken from starting as a carer to becoming a manager has allowed me to understand what support needs to be provided not only to the individuals we support, but the amazing carers that are providing it. I understand the importance of ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered, and enjoy leading and encouraging my team to work towards the best possible outcomes. I am an experienced care manager and have managed both hourly and live-in care in a home care setting. I have been able to see the benefits of people receiving care in their own home and remaining at home.
I am very proud of the journey I have been on to get to where I am currently in my career. I feel proud of my development and that I have been able to witness everything I have along the way from a carer to a manager.
Services we offer in Camden
Better than a regular care agency in Camden
Unlike care agencies, we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), a governing body of care. We are held legally accountable for our service and have achieved the highest outcomes in our CQC inspections in both England and Scotland.
Whilst a care agency will formally introduce you to a carer, you must then become your own employer with all the legal and formal requirements that brings. With the Good Care Group, we are a fully-managed care provider so we manage and pay your care team, making the process as easy as possible. Our closely-knit regional care teams manage fewer clients than our competitors, so you enjoy a higher standard of care and a more personalised service.
Private care in Camden
Our private care in Camden does far more than just keep you physically safe and cared for. We provide a home care service designed to enrich your life and help you maintain your independence.
Our bespoke care services are designed in a way to provide care that is meaningful to you. Our carers will never ‘take over’ or prescribe choices for you. They are there to provide person-centred care that is carefully crafted according to not just your medical and health requirements, but your lifestyle choices and preferences as well.
So whether you require a helping hand around your home or you would like someone to accompany you for a stroll along Regent’s Canal, our carers are there to provide whatever you need to live a fulfilled and purposeful life in the comfort of your own home.
Specialist dementia care in Camden
There are currently around 900,000 people with dementia in the UK and this number is expected to rise in the coming years. From our years of experience in supporting people living with dementia and their families, we know that each dementia is different and requires a bespoke and personalised approach to care.
After a dementia diagnosis, many people fear that they will eventually have to leave their much-loved homes and move into a residential nursing or care home. Our expert dementia care in Camden allows individuals living with dementia to stay in their much-loved homes while receiving the extra care and support they need.
At The Good Care Group, we have been innovating live-in dementia care for over 10 years. Our professional and compassionate carers are well-versed in a wide range of dementia care techniques designed to reassure your loved ones, reduce stress and anxiety and facilitate communication.
We adopt a blended approach to the delivery of dementia care that involves collaborating closely with healthcare professionals, academic bodies, and leading dementia charities. This allows us to provide unrivalled levels of emotional and practical support based on the latest best practices for dementia care.
Domiciliary care for additional support
Domiciliary care is the traditional term used to describe receiving care at home from a professional carer. If you require a bit of extra support around your home but fear losing your autonomy and independence in a care home, domiciliary care provides the ideal solution.
Our domiciliary carers in Camden can provide assistance with everything you need to keep you living independently at home. Whether it’s discreet assistance with bathing or dressing or simply some gentle reminders to take your medication, our careers are there to provide high levels of support whilst providing reassurance and peace of mind for families.
Respite care for a short-term solution
Respite care is a form of short-term care offered by someone other than your usual carer. Time to rest and recharge is essential for every carer. Respite care takes place in your own home whilst allowing your regular carer to enjoy a break from their usual duties to recharge their batteries, both mentally and physically.
Respite care can also be used as a form of emergency care after a fall, illness or hospital stay. A dedicated carer will provide the extra support you need as you recover whilst relieving you from the burden of domestic chores until you are back on your feet.
Respite care in Camden can be provided on an hourly or live-in care basis. If you are a caregiver for a loved one, we can pre-arrange respite care so that you can enjoy time off for a few hours each week up to several weeks at a time. This will allow you the time you need to look after yourself whilst enjoying peace of mind knowing that a professional is always there to look after your loved ones.
Expertly-trained carers in Camden
Through our rigorous recruitment process, we hire only the industry’s best carers. With only 2% of those that apply being successful in becoming fully fledged carers, you can rest assured that the care you will receive will be of the highest quality.
After our recruitment process, each of our new carers completes our comprehensive induction programme. Our experienced in-house training team ensures each and every one of our carers has the knowledge and skills to provide our award-winning care. Our carers are trained in a number of modules including first aid, medical conditions such as dementia, end-of-life care, and manual handling and inclusion.
The learning doesn’t stop there. Both our latest recruits and our experienced carers in Camden have regular check-ins with their dedicated care manager, to ensure they have everything they need to provide you with high quality and bespoke care.
