Outstanding CQC rating
One of less than 1% of care providers to get an ‘Outstanding’ rating overall from the regulating body for care in England, the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- We hold the best possible rating, with ‘Outstanding’ in all five categories.
- We have an ‘Excellent’ rating from Care Inspectorate Scotland.
- We are not a care agency; this means we fully employ, train and supervise our care staff.
- Our regionalised service is led by local care managers across England and Scotland, supported centrally by our team round the clock.
Outcomes focussed
Measurable health and well-being outcomes reviewed annually, which keep clients living in the comfort of their own homes and communities for longer.
- Clients are 39 times less likely to develop pressure sores with our live-in care than a nursing home.
- Only 10% of falls at The Good Care Group (TGCG) resulted in significant injury compared to the 50% in a hospital setting.
- By using Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) testing kits our clients are 2.5 times less likely to be hospitalised.
- TGCG clients are 4.5 times less likely to experience a medication error, compared to care homes.
In-house expertise
A specialist care service led by in-house experts, including a Consultant Admiral Nurse
- Consultant Admiral Nurse, Dr Jane Pritchard, is the lead clinician for clients requiring a nurse-led specialist service, and specialises in the care and management of dementia.
- Advanced training is provided to carers that has been developed with Dementia UK.
- An Occupational Therapist will oversee all complex care packages where mobility and falls are the main concern.
